We at The Hayes are set in a large 19th century country house, within seven acres of garden, woodland and pasture, with picturesque views over the Tyne Valley to the South. We are a 3* tourist board grading accommodation with a B&B and a self-catering cottages. We are ideally located on the edge of Corbridge near Hadrian’s Wall in beautiful Northumberland, North East England for you to explore the ancient Roman Forts of Housesteads and Vindolanda as well as other attractions such as: Hexham Abbey, Durham Cathedral and the spectacular castles and coastline of Northumberland. We are also in good range of shops and places to eat, and we have plenty of parking on site.
Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation has rooms for up to 11 guests within 4 rooms. We have two Ensuite rooms with 1 double and 2 single bed in each, plus a single room and one family sized room (with 1 double and 2 single beds in) that share a bathroom. Each room has great facilities including: tea/coffee making facilities, a TV, Free Wifi, a hairdryer & a clock/radio. We even have facilities such as stair lifts to accommodate disabled guests. Each guest is welcome every morning to have one of our delicious full English breakfasts or one of our vegetarian options.
On site, we also have 2 self-catering cottages available, that were formerly stables. They are set in a small courtyard with access to the main house, grounds and woodland. “Stable” cottage can sleep up to 5 people whereas “Bothy” cottage sleeps 4 to 5 people. They also come with great facilities but with the added comforts of home with a fully equipped kitchen & dining room and a lounge to relax in.
